Christmas Time!

Christmas was sooo much fun! Although Tristan did not understand the idea behind unwrapping presents, he did love spending time with family. He got to hang out with his cool older cousin, Ian and his super fun cousin, Quinn (along with everyone else). Christmas Eve was spent at G-ma and Papa Gary's with the extended family and Christmas Evening was spent and Mimi and Papa's. We all had a lot of fun!

Tristan was passed around, hugged and kissed for two days straight..and he manged to keep that cute little, chubby-cheeked smile on the whole time!! He is such an angel!!!!

It's Been Awhile!!!

Wow! Time has flown by! The 3 Little Bears have been busy. Mom (Amy) has been completing her first clinical rotation and had her graduation in the first part of December. Dad (Ryan) has been working hard at Intrepid. And Tristan has been working hard at cutting teeth and trying out for the show "Jersey Shore," hence the big hair ; )

Looking forward to Christmas and some time together!!!

Tristans First Music Video

This is my first attempt at a video of Tristan with editing and sound. It was fun to put together and reminded me of my under-grad days in video production. Hopefully, they will get better and more amusing as I (and Tristan) learn the "Mommy Video" etiquette. Enjoy!

Its Fall!!!

It has been over a month since I last posted and I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by! Last weekend the Hebert's took a day trip through the scenic roads of Loudoun County and went to a pumpkin patch and an apple orchard. It was a beautiful fall day and just what the three of us needed since Mom and Dad have been working so hard and Tristan has been working so hard at teething.
We hope we get a few more fall activities in before it gets too cold and winter comes!

Our F-U-N in the O-B-X

The week after Labor Day the Hebert's decided to take a trip to the Outer Banks to bid a final farewell to the summer. Although Hurricane Earl threatened to cancel our trip, in the end we were blessed with low humidity, low 80's and low population on the beach ~ thanks Earl!!!

We had a great time and spent the week visiting the sites in the area that we had never explored before Tristan's arrival.

We went to the Wright Bros Memorial which was cool and we went to the Elizabethan Gardens on Roanoke Island which was Tristan's favorite because he loves trees and flowers!

My favorite activity was a sunset trip to Jockey's Ridge, big sand dunes. It was so peaceful and a gorgeous view of the ocean and the sound was practically ours alone.

One thing we learned as new parents is that from now on pictures of family time will rarely consist of the whole family as one of us has to take the picture. So, we tried to make sure each of us took a few turns at the lens, even Tristan took a picture from his stroller! ; )

Luckily, Aunt Jen came for a night so we have a few pictures of the three of us!

We look forward to next year when Tristan will be walking on the beach, building sandcastles and playing in the waves! But this was a memorable and awesome first trip!
